OSHA Releases Final Rule on Respirable Crystalline Silica

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) released its final rule on respirable crystalline silica. The rule, which is titled Occupational Exposure to Respirable Crystalline Silica, establishes a permissible exposure limit (PEL) and also includes provisions regarding exposure assessments, respiratory protection, medical surveillance, hazard communication, and recordkeeping.

New Feature: Default Standard Hours for Specific States

A new feature went into effect as of 4/15/16 to help ADP Resource clients remain in compliance with reporting. If standard hours have not yet been defined on your Employees Employment Profile or on the Payroll Grid, they will now be automatically added for your salaried employees within these states: Washington, Washington DC, Rhode Island, Vermont, Massachusetts, Oregon, Wyoming, Virgin Islands.

You Have Received a Marketplace Notice; Now What?

This spring, employers may start receiving Marketplace notices in the mail from the Federally-Facilitated Marketplace or a State Health Exchange.  These are courtesy notifications for employers advising that one of their employees was eligible for an advanced premium tax credit or cost-sharing reduction, while purchasing a plan on the Federal Marketplace or State Exchange.  Not all employers will receive one.
